Obituary of Terry Vasarkovy

Theresa ‘Terry’ Vasarkovy, 87, of Toms River, passed away, Saturday, January 22, 2022. Terry was a banker her entire career most recently working for Hudson City Savings Bank in Brick and Toms River before retiring as a branch manager many years ago. She was a faithful communicant of St. Justin the Martyr Catholic Church of Toms River and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Terry was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council 4969 Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Newark, Terry grew up in Belleville and was a graduate of Belleville High School. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, John ‘ Jack’ Vasarkovy in 2011. Terry was also an avid Yankee, Dallas Cowboy, and Rutgers football and basketball fan. She is survived by her son Jack and his wife Tiffany; two daughters, Lisa Caruso and her husband Mark, and Pamela Morton, all of Toms River and four loving grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Laura and Jordan. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 8:30 to 10:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am at St. Justin’s Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
