Frank Capaccio, 80, of Toms River passed away surrounded by family on January 23rd 2022. Formerly of Newark NJ, Frank and his wife Frances relocated to Toms River in 1987 to raise their family at the Jersey Shore, where they loved to vacation.
Frank made a career working for Essex County Fleet Management as a mechanic for over 30 years before retiring.
Frank enjoyed bowling, trips to Atlantic City, eating out at his favorite restaurants, and spending time with family. He had a passion for gardening, and loved listening to the oldies. Frank was well known for his sense of humor, generosity, and stubborn streaks.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Frances Capaccio; brother, Anthony Capaccio, and sisters, Phyliss Comito and Elaine Raymond.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sons, Frank & Mark Capaccio; daughter-in-law, Stephine Capaccio; grandchildren, Frances, Giana, & Mark Capaccio; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Brook Lynn Panconi; his companion, Karen Schultze; his brothers, John and James Capaccio; sister, Leana Fano, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2 – 6 p.m., at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
