Obituary of Emilia Baxter

Emilia Baxter, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on April 3, 2022 at Boca Regional Hospital, Boca Raton, FL. She was born on May 3, 1925 to Josephine (d.1997) and Hipolit Sokolowski (d. 1976) in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up with her brother Edward. The family later moved to Sunnyside, New York. Emilia married Richard Andrews Baxter in 1959. They moved to Toms River, New Jersey in 1963. Emilia was predeceased by her husband Richard Andrews Baxter (d. 1970), her son Steven Walter Baxter (d. 1996) and her son-in-law George Indelicato (d. 2002). Emilia is survived by her daughter Karen Baxter Indelicato of Highland Beach, Florida and son Robert Baxter and his wife Jennifer Baxter of Juno Beach, Florida; brother Edward Sokolowski of San Antonio, Texas; as well as daughter-in-law Lauren Baxter of Beachwood, New Jersey. Emilia was a proud grandmother to Dr. Michael Indelicato and his wife Melissa Indelicato of Bedford, Massachusetts; Kristen Indelicato Lettini and her husband Christopher Lettini of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Victoria Baxter and Jacqueline Baxter of Marietta, Georgia; and Kathryn Baxter of Toms River, New Jersey. Emilia is also survived by four great grandchildren: Layla Indelicato, Nicholas Indelicato, Samantha Lettini and Grace Lettini. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10 – 12 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, 1001 NJ-166, Toms River, will follow.
