Obituary of Loren H. Publicover

Loren (Larry) H. Publicover, 81, of Toms River passed away in the presence of his family, Saturday, Nov. 21 at Ocean Medical Center , Brick. Born in Staten Island , NY , Loren & his wife moved to Toms River 13 years ago. Loren was a Master Electrician and retired in the late 80’s from the Health and Hospitals Corp., in Queens , NY . Loren was a veteran submariner in the United States Navy and proudly served his country in the Korean War. He is a Life Member of the United States Submarine Veterans, Jersey Shore Base. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and pop-pop. One of his favorite days was the birth of his granddaughter whom he loved to spoil. Loren will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kind heart and his desire to always help others. There are no words to express what a wonderful man he was. “A life that touches others goes on forever.” Loren is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Jacqueline; daughter, Laureen Coup and her husband David of Bayville, and granddaughter Emily Rose Coup. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River on Sunday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at the funeral home followed by a committal service at the Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd., Toms River.
