Obituary of Michael L. Stallworth, Sr.

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Stallworth Sr., 63, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Laura and devoted father to Michael (Wei), Jason (Ashley), and Randall (Michelle). Born in Beatrice, AL, Michael moved to New Jersey in 1970 and lived in Toms River until his death. He was a proud and dedicated USPS letter carrier, serving the Freehold community for over 30 years before retiring in February of 2020. Michael served NALC Branch 924 as the secretary/treasurer from 2008 until his passing. Throughout his career, Michael was known for his friendliness and kindness at work. Aside from his professional life, Michael was deeply committed to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren: Christian, Giuliana, Cameron, Emmett, Mack, and Trey. He had a passion for college football and was an avid Alabama fan. Michael was a loyal son to his mother, Mary, and shared a close relationship with his brothers, Harold, Irvin (Pam), Bruce (Jenine), and Vincent. He was predeceased by his father, Leo, and brothers, Byron and Leo. Michael leaves behind a loving legacy of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; not to mention numerous friends. Michael's generosity, good nature, and hearty laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Kedz Funeral Home in Toms River from 2-4p ET with a short service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Home Care and Hospice, in appreciation of the outstanding and compassionate care they provided at Community Medical Center. Forever in our hearts.
