Demetri “Jimmy” M. Tchaplygin, 78, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Jimmy was born and raised in Bronx, NY. He was a proud Veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard. He served his first 3 years in the service in the Bronx before moving to Jackson, NJ in 1966. He married the love of his life, Patricia, in 1968 and they raised their family together in Brick, NJ. Jimmy loved fishing and wood work; he was a handyman special. He was a devoted loving father and grandfather.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia; their 3 children, James Tchaplygin, Tina Hilbert, and Sonja Ternyila; and grandchildren, Alexandria, Nic, Madelyn, Julia, Carrie, Stephen, Charlotte, Adam, Emma, and Natalie.

Services will remain private for the family.
