Obituary of Carolyn E. Davies

Carolyn Ellen Davies, 67 of Toms River, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. Carolyn was born in Newark and grew up in Freehold where she was a 1966 graduate of Freehold Regional High School. She worked with her father and mother at the family business, the Old Fashioned Bake Shop, in Howell during the 1970's. She moved to Toms River area in 1972 until residing at the Arbors in June of 2012. Her life evolved around her family. Carolyn was a caring loving sister and to all her nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces, she was known as, "Aunt LaLa". She will be greatly missed by all, especially by the medical transporters as the "Hot Momma" with the hats, red lipstick, and nail polish she wore. Carolyn was predeceased by her father, John J. Davies and her mother, Evelyn E. Davies. Surviving are her brother, Glenn Richard Davies; four sisters, Joan A. Schwarz, Patricia Davies-Pfaff, Sherri L. Serrano and Linda L. Freibott; 6 nephews and 5 nieces and 9 great-nephews and 9 great-nieces. Visitation will be held at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ on Friday, August 2nd from 10am to1pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at the Maplewood Cemetery in Freehold.
