Obituary of Kenny Genco

Kenneth A. Genco, 52, of Toms River, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 22, 2023. Kenny was born in Point Pleasant, NJ but has lived his whole life in Toms River. He graduated from Toms River High School East in 1983. Kenny worked for Ocean County Building and Grounds for over 10 years. He loved working on cars which led him to pursue working as an Auto Mechanic for several years. Kenny was an animal lover, as a young boy he would bring home birds with broken wings in an attempt to save them. He would also be found building shelters for stray cats in his neighborhood. He had a big heart. He was often the one everyone relied on for his tinkering and handyman ways. Kenny also enjoyed fishing and camping with his son, Brandon. He is survived by his son, Brandon Genco; his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Genco; his fiancee, Laura Gough and her children Amy and Christopher; his Aunt Joan Blauth and Uncle Bill Blauth, his Uncle Warren Genco and late Aunt Lucille Genco, his Uncle Stanley Wisnieski and late Aunt Barbara Wisnieski, his Aunt Joanne Goveia and Uncle Frank Goveia, and many dear cousins. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 2- 4 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. in lieu of flowers, donations in Kenny's name to any animal rescue shelter or any organization that helps homeless people would be appreciated.
