Philip H. Taylor Jr., 54, of Toms River, sadly passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
Philip was born and raised in Toms River, and was a lifelong resident.
Growing up, Philip was actively involved in Camp Discovery and the Special Olympics.
One of his greatest accomplishments was bringing home the Gold, in the 1987 International Special Olympics, where he placed First in the 800m Run.
Philip enjoyed being around family, and loved making others laugh. His smile and sweet disposition will always be with us.
He was pre-deceased by his father Philip Taylor Sr.
He is survived by his mother Lynda Taylor, his sister and brother-in-law Kristina and Vic Pepe, sister Caroline Taylor, sister Patti Maluchnik and brother-in-law Jesse Maluchnik. He will also be missed by his nine nieces and nephews, and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am, Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. Justin’s Catholic Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
