Teresa was such a loving person. When she watched us Fitzgerald kids, she was like a surrogate Mom. I still remember the weekend my parents went to a Connecticut wedding and we had a terrible storm that flooded the basement, where the kitchen was. Our dog Kelly wouldn't come up past the lower landing, where the water was lapping. Teresa got us to help pull Kelly up to the next floor to safety. Kelly never stayed in the basement again. We were so happy we saved her. There was also the heroic climb Beth made to get to the fridge to turn it off to avoid electrocuting Kelly if we couldn't move her! Exciting times, but Teresa always kept her cool. We all loved her to bits, she was the best!

There are no words other than we are heartbroken. Teresa (a/k/a Terry) was one of the best friends anyone could hope to have in a lifetime. Who would guess from shy Freshman in High School, we'd still be good friends for almost 60 years. Bridesmaids in each other's weddings, our husband''s becoming good friends, birth of our children and so on. While our hearts ache with the loss of Teresa, she leaves behind a world that is a little kinder, brighter and compassionate because of her presence. Jesse, Jennifer, Kim, Wade, Stacy and the other loves of her life, Olivia (Liv), Brody, Ruby and Violet, she loved you all so much. We love you all. Karen and Joe.
