Norman C. McGarvey, Jr., 81, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Norman was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Norman C. and Rita McGarvey. He grew up in Union, NJ. He worked as a Transmission Mechanic for over 60 years having just recently retired. Norman enjoyed car racing, woodworking, his fishpond, and his dog, Suzie.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lorraine A. McGarvey and their son, James McGarvey; sister, Maryellen Baumann, and brother, Victor McGarvey.

Norman is survived by his; son, Rocco Rapuano, and his wife Margie; daughter, June Wood, and her husband Robert; grandson, Robert Bianchini and his wife Marissa; great-grandchildren, Martin Bianchini and Cora Bianchini; brother-in-law, Eric Baumann; his dog, Suzie, and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 5 – 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River.
