Joan A. Wilber Obituary

Joan A. Wilber-Elms, of Bayville, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. Joan was the District Manager for Eagle Home Center stores for 10 years. Joan lived most of her life in the Ocean County area. Born and raised in Seaside Heights, she lived in Island Heights, moving to Bayville in 1998. Joan loved sewing, knitting, and making crafts, which she and her husband enjoyed taking to the Route 70 auction. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Harold, and a son Glenn Hewlett.


Joan is survived by her son, Wade Lee Elms and his wife Jennifer of Bayville; daughter, Lisa Kersey and her husband Allen of Eatton, GA; 4 grandchildren, Olivia Elms and Brody Elms of Bayville, Christopher Kersey and TJ Kersey of Eatton GA; four great grandchildren, Carter, Owen, Noah and Cora Kersey; brother, Barry Wood and his wife Cindy of Island Heights.
