Obituary of Judé A. Gerhauser

Judé A. Gerhauser, 81, of Toms River passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, at home. Judé was born in East Orange, NJ to the late Cathleen Bickler. She moved to Beachwood at the age of 32 and graduated from Central Regional High School in 1960. Judé worked as an Assistant Principals Secretary for Central Regional High School for many years and later worked as a Principal’s Secretary at Cedar Creek Elementary for 30 years before retiring to Holiday City where she has resided the last 19 years. Judé was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church for the 19 years spent in Holiday City. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society, and Book Club. She was an avid seamstress, loved to read, and thoroughly enjoyed the Mets. In her free time Judé enjoyed having lunch with her retired friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul C. Gerhauser; mother, Cathleen Bickler; brother, Sgt. Frank Bickler, and sister, Cathleen Readdy. Judé is survived by her children, Paul T. Gerhauser, Mark V. Gerhauser and his wife JoAnne, Glenn J. Gerhauser, Judé Hadley and her husband Peter, and Brian M. Gerhauser and his wife Denise; brother, Vincent Bickler and his wife Carol; grandchildren, Matthew Gerhauser, Steven Gerhauser, Alexandra Kyle and her husband Brandon, Peter Hadley, III and his fiancé Victoria Tabano, John Paul Hadley and his fiancé Madison Stopera, Thomas Gerhauser and his wife Lauren, Ryan Gerhauser, Brandon Ilarraza and his wife Shannon, and Erin Gerhauser, and great grandchildren, Ellie Kyle, Maeve Suarze, and Ophelia Ilarraza. Visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of NY/NJ, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
