Michael Farina, Sr., 57 of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born in West Orange, NJ, Michael grew up in Brick Town where he graduated from Brick Memorial High School. A short time later he moved and settled in Toms River. He worked as a Claims Specialist with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield for over 15 years. Michael enjoyed working with his hands and could be found turning a piece of land into a flourishing garden or working on one of his woodworking projects.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kimberly Dudek Farina; three children, Michael, Jr., Nicholas and Sarah Farina; his brother Conrad Farina and his wife Lenore; sister Debbie Townsend and her husband John; sister in law Christine Lewis and her husband Bill; his Aunt Dee; and eight nieces and nephews, Samantha Farina, Christopher Townsend, Alex Farina, Megan Townsend, Caitlyn Townsend, Morgan Lewis, Micah Lewis and Zyan Lewis.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 509 Hooper Avenue, Toms River followed by inurnment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
