Matt and I were friends from Summit NJ and attended Camp Skoglund for Boys together. I’ll always remember Matt from way back when with longer hair and the shell bead necklace he wore. I recently reconnected with him at the Summit High class of 1988 reunion. You’ll be missed Matt. I’ll see you over the rainbow bridge.

I’m so sorry to hear of Matt’s passing away. We ran together as part of the Purple Cobras and he was always so funny and sweet. There are simply too many great memories to share… sending condolences to Matt’s family.

It is hard to find the words. When he was in IL, Matt and I would run together every week. We also travelled around to do dozens of races. I think we mostly ran as an excuse to get together and eat good food after. I can’t even talk about the epic Vegas trip.
Since we worked together, during every work event we would send sarcastic messages to each other. There was an event at work this week and I instinctively went to send Matt a message.
Matt could always make me laugh, he made everything more fun, and it is impossible to accept that he has passed.

I found out of Matt’s passing here in Ireland on Wednesday morning from ex Allstate friends and colleagues. I’m still in total shock and disbelief that Matt is no longer with us. Working with Matt and spending time with him in the US (Chicago & Dallas) over the 15+ years was always a pleasure. He was a ray of sunshine and we had so much fun and laughter each and every time we connected. Matt was one of the good ones, and he’ll be missed by so many right across the globe. Thoughts, prayers and sympathies to all of Matt’s family and friends as we all come to terms with our loss of such a truly wonderful person.

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy. Matt really did have a heart of gold. So warm, so kind, so sweet. All I have are wonderful memories of Matt. Always a smile, always a laugh. Most of the time both. It's really a loss. Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

Matt was SO happy he reconnected with you. He referred to you as Mrs. Robinson. Matt said that you reminded him that he once threw up on you because he didn’t recall that incident. He said that you two talked about Judy Blume, and that that’s as close as he got to being interested in reading. He loved 4th grade because of you. ❤️
