Vincent Bochiaro, 98 of Crystal River, Florida and Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, passed away at his home in Florida on February 9, 2024.

Vincent was born on April 7, 1925, to Peter and Lillian Bochiaro (Curreri) at their home in Garfield, NJ.

Vincent grew up during The Great Depression and truly was a product of the greatest generation. The child of immigrants, Vincent pursued the American dream. He proudly served his country when he enlisted in the Navy at age 17 during WWII.

He was a lifelong entrepreneur and a self-made man. He owned several businesses installing aluminum storm windows and doors before establishing Suburban Aluminum Manufacturing Co. in 1970; now known as Suburban Building Products, located in Leonardo and Howell, New Jersey. His son Vincent carries on his exceptional achievement today.

He served his community for many years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Middletown Kiwanis.

Vincent maintained a magnetic personality and a sharp wit even at age 98. He had many wise sayings he ingrained in his loved ones. They became a part of the family’s language and will continue to be echoed by them every day in fond memory.

He was predeceased by three wives: Elsie (Kaartinen), Dorothy (Ott) and Margaret (Florio), as well as his daughter Jane Bochiaro Schwarz in 1996 and son Charles Ott in 2017.

Vincent is survived by his son Vincent and wife Monica; daughter Charlotte Petersen and husband George; daughter Janet Matuszak and husband John, daughter-in-law Fran Ott and companion Diane Galante. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. Toms River, NJ. Inurnment will take place on Monday March 18, 2024, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. Please meet at the cemetery.
