Mary Lou Werts, (nee: Clappsy), 70 of Melbourne, FL., passed away on May 4, 2024. She was born and raised in Jersey City, moving to Florida 17 years ago. Mary Lou was predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna (Saltarelli) Clappsy, her first husband George Hawk and her second husband Jack Werts.

Mary Lou is the cherished mother of Matthew Hawk of Hoboken and Jeffrey Hawk of Kearny; loving grandmother to Giuliana and Anthony Hawk; sister of Michael Clappsy (Doreen) of Bayville, Joseph Clappsy (Evelyn) of Whiting and Francine Bolen (Jeffrey) of Ocean Gate. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many extended family and many friends in New Jersey and Florida.

Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Thursday, May 16, from 4:00pm until the funeral service at 7:30.
