Miguel (Mike) A. Sanchez, Jr., 83, of Toms River passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, May 17, 2024. He was very peaceful and surrounded by his family at the time. Miguel was born and raised in the Bronx and graduated from William H. Taft High School in 1958. He attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where he studied drafting.

He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Colon in January of 1960 before joining the United States Army. Miguel and Elizabeth had one child, Steven in June of 1968. Miguel and Elizabeth would have been married 64 years this year, and in 2012 he became her devoted caregiver until her passing in 2020.

Miguel is predeceased by his loving wife, Elizabeth Sanchez, and his Sisters Sonia Garcia, and Lisa Melon, as well as a brother Anthony (Tony) Sanchez.

He is survived by his son, Steven Sanchez and his wife Grace, and his brother, Gary Sanchez, and his wife Margie.

A small family celebration will be held at a date still to be determined.
