Shirley R. LeQuier Obituary

Shirley LeQuier passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2024 at the age of 96.


Shirley was born in New Jersey, the daughter of Ernest and Marion Phillips. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth W. LeQuier, Jr. and her brother, Dale Phillips.


She was a graduate of Moorestown Friends High School and attended Earlham College and the Philadelphia Museum School of Arts (now the Philadelphia College of Arts).


A member and past president of Ocean County Artists Guild, Shirley was an accomplished watercolor artist featured in shows and galleries in Vermont, Connecticut, and New Jersey. While she sold many paintings, family and friends are the proud owners of some of her best work.


She was also an avid gardener who tended her plants and flowers faithfully up to one month of her passing.


She was a longtime member of St. Raphael's Episcopal Church in Brick, New Jersey.


Shirley is survived by her son, Kenneth W. LeQuier, III; her daughters, Marion LeQuier and Anne Faiella; her granddaughter, Stephanie LeQuier, and her sister, Patricia Herring.


Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.
