Michael R. Gleeson, 77, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Michael was born in Newark, NJ. He graduated from East Brunswick High School. Michael was a proud Veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard on the USCG Cutter Hamilton. He earned a Master’s degree after attending both Monmouth and Rutgers University and, later, worked as a group controller for 41 years. Michael had been a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Michael was passionate about the work being done by St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Michael is reunited with his cherished wife, Janet; parents, John and Edith; sister, Joan, and brother, Matt.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Deborah, Katherine, and Kimberley; grandchildren, Nicole, Rocco, and Luciana; brother, John and his wife Antoinette, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. Inurnment will be private for the family.
