Obituary of Andrea Sorrentino

Andrea Sorrentino, 64 of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Andrea was a 20 year veteran of the New York Police Department. She retired in 2003 as a First Grade Detective serving in the Homicide Division. Born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY, Andrea graduated from Holy Family Grammer School. She loved her time at Holy Family and always spoke of her memories with love. She was also a graduate of Canarsie High School. After school, she lived in Staten Island before moving to Toms River in 1999. Andrea is survived by her son, Andrew Sorrentino and her mother, Susanne Sorrentino, both of Toms River; and her brother, Salvatore Sorrentino of White House, NJ. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, October 23, from 2:00 to 6:00pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
