Haydee was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Cardenas Cuba. She married Tomas Chizan in 1963, and they moved to Spain before moving to New York. Shortly before the birth of her son, Thomas, she moved to Elizabeth, NJ then Hillside where she welcomed her daughter, Adriana. Her children were her pride and joy.

Her love and compassion showed in her smile and hugs. After her retirement, she moved to Toms River in 2003. Her Catholic faith was her guide, strength, and comfort. She was a joyful fixture at St. Michael’s, St. Catherine’s, and then St. Luke’s. She shared her caring nature by volunteering at St. Luke’s Church, the Vincent DePaul Society, and as a chaplain at Community Medical Center and with local hospice services.

She is survived by her son Thomas Chizan and his wife Carla; daughter Adriana Chizan and her husband Shawn; and 2 grandsons, (Tommy & Carla) Damian and Dorian Chizan.
