Obituary of Dennis McKeown

Dennis McKeown, 63, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2024. Though he called Lakewood home, he spent much of his life in Maryland, a place that always held a special spot in his heart. He enjoyed working in the food sales industry, always skilled at making connections and getting deals done. When he wasn’t working, he loved gardening and making his own pickles, learning about history, phone calls with his children, and caring for his loved one’s. Dennis was a charismatic man whose love of knowledge was one of his defining traits. A lifelong learner, he eagerly shared his wisdom and curiosity with his children, inspiring them to explore and grow. He had a passion for travel, both for work and pleasure, and he delighted in recounting stories of his many adventures, which were as colorful as the life he lived. He is predeceased by his father, John McKeown and his mother, Florence McKeown. He is survived by his children, Erin (Aaron) Taylor and Dennis McKeown Jr., his wife, Alice McKeown, and his brother, John McKeown Jr., along with countless friends and acquaintances who were touched by his wit and zest for life. Dennis left this world far too soon, but the memories he created and the lives he impacted will carry on his legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
