Mary Rosato, age 93, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Lakehurst and Toms River. It is with a heavy, yet comforted heart that in the early morning hours of November 28, 2013, Thanksgiving Day, in Mesa, AZ, Mary (nee: Nappe) Rosato was lifted on angel's wings to join her beloved husband Mario 'Murph' Rosato and her loving daughter, Carol Hoyt, her devoted sister, Gloria Harupa, her brothers, Michael Ames, Tony Conti and Earl Cochario, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rosato, son-in-law, Gary Gavlick, who waited with open arms to welcome her into the kingdom of heaven. What a glorious reunion! Mary suffered a long journey. She leaves behind a legacy of family and love. Mary was born June 1, 1920 in Summit, NJ, to the late Joseph and Rose (Nappe). She worked for a short time at Bell Laboratories as a Data Entry Technician, but was primarily a homemaker, taking loving care of her husband Mario and her family. Born and raised in Summit, NJ, she lived in Green Brook, NJ, Dunellen, NJ and Lakehurst, NJ. Mary later lived in Albuquerque, NM and Pleasanton, CA, before finally settling in Mesa, AZ. She was a past parishioner of St. John's R.C. Church of Lakehurst, NJ.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Marion Gavlick, of Flemington, NJ, Sandra Betts and husband Bill of San Tan Valley, AZ; three sons: Anthony (Joe) Rosato of Leesburg, FL, Richard Rosato and wife Pat of Toms River, NJ, James Rosato and wife Laura of Albuquerque, NM; God-daughter, Donnamarie Lindgren and husband Greg, of South Plainfield, NJ; Mary had 15 grandchildren, Debbie Lattanzio and husband Larry, Paul Hoyt, Heidi Hoyt, John Gavlick and wife Nancy, Christopher Gavlick and wife Maria, Stephen Gavlick and wife Marielia, Michael Rosato and wife Theresa, Karen Rosato and husband Matt, Dawn M. Rosato, Toni Ryne Rosato, Shanie Swingle and husband Steve, Aaron Rosato and wife Tina, Mario Rosato and wife Becky, Justin Betts, Caitlin Watson and husband Andy, and 32 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, will be private.
