Obituary of Joseph A. Ettore

Joseph Ariel Ettore, 70 of Toms River, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 after a couragous fight with cancer. Joe was a realtor with Weichert Realtors in Brick for the past 12 years, a job he loved to go to every day, and was a member of the Weichert Million Dollar Club. He was a communicant of St. Luke's Catholic Church of Toms River. Born in Schenectady, NY, he lived in Freehold before moving to Ocean County in 1997. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Eleanor Ettore, Jean Ettore and Sandra Gamache. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Johnnie (Janet) Ettore; three children, Michael Ettore and his wife Anne of Ocean Twp., Judy Ettore and her partner Nicole Dowding of Brick, John David Ettore and his wife Sarah of Ft. Scott, KS; 5 grandchildren, Samuel, Abigail, Sean, Joseph and Nathan Ettore; brother, John Ettore and his wife Margaret of Schenectady; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 Friday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. The family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made to Meridian Hospice South, 80 Nautilus Dr., Manahawkin, NJ 08050, a charity of your choice, or do an act of kindness for someone in memory of Joe.
