Obituary of Marie Vespucci

Marie Vespucci, 75 of Holiday City, Berkeley Township, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. Marie was the office manager for Corporate Cafe of Parsippany for many years. She was devoted and faithful to her patron saint, St. Gerard as a communicant at St. Lucy's Church in Newark. Marie was known for her love of cooking. Among her many dishes, she was especially known and remembered for her potatoes and eggs, paste fagioli and her escarole and beans. She was always thankful for the service of those who served in the military to protect our freedoms and taught that to her family and friends. Born and raised in Newark, Marie lived in Nutley before moving to Holiday City 14 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband Lorenzo and a son Gerard. Surviving are two sons, Anthony Vespucci and his wife Rosemarie, Lorenzo Vespucci; and granddaughter Gabrielle. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:30 am Thursday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08753. Interment services will be private.
