Obituary of John R. Tonko

John R. Tonko, 63 of Toms River, formerly of Jersey City, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014. John worked in maintenance for Hudson County for several years. Born in Phoenix, AZ he lived most of his life in Jersey City before moving to Toms River in 2009. Surviving are his brother James Tonko and his wife Jennifer; two sisters, Valerie Sheridan and her husband John, Nancy Meurer; 3 nieces, 3 nephews and a grand niece and nephew. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm with a funeral service being offered at 3:00 pm.
