Eleanor 'Honey' Zigo, 93, died peacefully on December 13, 2014 at the Arbors Care Center Nursing Home, Toms River, NJ. She was born on March 4, 1921 in Danbury, CT, where her Slovak immigrant father was a hatter. A graduate of South Side High School in Newark, she excelled in athletics. For most of her working life she was employed by RCA in Harrison. But before moving to Toms River in 1973, for five years she owned a small diner in Irvington. She was married to Jack Swain for eight years. She was a needlepoint and pastel artist, a lover of animals, and a poet.
Burial took place at the Hollywood Memorial Park in Union under the direction of Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River.
