John ‘Jack’ Vasarkovy, 72 of Toms River passed away suddenly on Friday, surrounded by his family. Jack was a salesman with Lasco Industries of California for many years. He was a communicant of St. Justin the Martyr Catholic Church of Toms River and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council 4969 and a 4th Degree member of John D. McMahon, Assembly 1926. Jack was also a member of the Toms River Elks #1875. Born in Newark , he lived in Irvington and Glen Ridge , moving to Toms River 50 years ago. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Terry Inaugurato Vasarkovy; son, Jack and wife Tiffany; daughters, Lisa Caruso and husband Mark, Pamela Morton, all of Toms River; sister Alberta Vasarkovy of Omaha, NE; four loving grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Laura and Jordan; and his beloved dog Prince. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:15 , Monday at St. Justin’s Church, 975 Fischer Blvd. , Toms River . Burial will follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery.
