Obituary of Joel H. Laster

Joel H. Laster, 63 of Toms River , passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Joel worked as a security guard for CNA Insurance Co., of Neptune . His passion was sports, and he enjoyed coaching Little League, Basketball, Soft Ball and Soccer in Long Branch . He was born and raised in Newark , and lived most of his life in Long Branch , moving to Toms River 3 years ago. He is survived by his companion, Patricia Carney, his son Robert Carney and daughter Amanda Carney, both of Toms River , his sister, Marilyn Arnone, of Ft. Meyers , FL., his aunt Florence Myers and uncle Philip Myers. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River .
