Fannie Mayer Caruso, 96 of Brick Township , passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 . She was a manager for the Hahne’s Department store in Montclair for many years. Born in Reading , PA , she lived in Michigan and Ohio prior to moving to New Jersey . She resided for many years in Upper Montclair before settling in Brick. Fannie was predeceased by her first husband, Ervin M. Mayer and her second husband, Guido Jack Caruso. She is survived by her son Martin Mayer and his wife Nancy of Fairfax, VA; her daughter Meredith Lewis and her husband Richard of Far Hills, NJ; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Ekhilevsky of California , Benjamin Lewis of New Jersey , Amy Lewis-Rieger of South Dakota ; and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River on Friday, January 15, at 10:00 am . Friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 am at the funeral home.
