Margaret Smith, 69 of Toms River, passed away at home on Friday, January 1, 2010 . She spent her life caring for her family and was always willing to help a friend. Born and raised in New York City , she lived in Union City for several years before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. She was predeceased by her brother John Reid and sister Agnes Palasciano. Surviving are: Her husband of 38 years, Jack Smith Son: Joseph Santiago and his wife Donna of Ridgefield Park, NJ Grandchildren: Joseph and Danielle Brother: Thomas Reid of Fairview , NJ Sisters: Martha Bailey of Toms River Anna Gimenez of Galloway Twp. Nora Edwards of Manchester Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . A funeral service will be conducted at 9:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by interment in North Jersey
