Obituary of Garett K. Hall

Garett K. Hall, 75, of Jackson Township, died Friday, July 10, 2015. Born April 27, 1940 in Long Branch, Gary was predeceased by his parents, George K. Hall Jr., and Carol M. (Bennett) Hall. Following graduation from Neptune High School in 1958, he entered the U.S. Army and served for three years. He was a master craftsman in the trade of masonry, in which he worked his entire life. He was married to Barbara (Palmer) Hall for 20 years and Denise Golden for 11 years. He spent the last 16 years of his life with his beloved partner, Rose Knepper of Jackson.Gary is survived by his children, Kevin G. Hall, husband of Gigi (Shonk) Hall, Kellianne Mayer, wife of Stefan M. Mayer, Kathleen Martineau, wife of Jason Martineau, and Ashley Hall. Other survivors include his two sisters, Carol Layton and Nancy Megill; his two brothers, Robert Allen Hall and George Bradley Hall; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Flowers are finite, but kindness is infinite. To honor his memory, do a good deed, pay it forward, thank a vet, and most of all, reconcile with family members. We only have this one life so make it count.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
