Obituary of Janet E. Kissam

Janet E. Kissam, 52 of Toms River, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27,2015. Janet worked as a home health aide for many years. Born in Jersey City, she grew up in North Bergen and spent most of her life in Toms River. Janet was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Janet was different from anyone else you'll ever meet. Everywhere she went she would light up a room and try her best to talk to EVERYONE. She was never nervous to interact, and just wanted to make everyone laugh. She worked her hardest to make sure her daughter was happy and healthy. Janet had an unconditional love for people, animals and music. Her wish would be for ANYONE with a family history of heart disease to get checked by a cardiologist. She was predeceased by her mother Anna Kissam in 2001 and her father George Kissam in 2008. Surviving are her daughter, Jessica Logan; two brothers, James Kissam and his wife Patricia, Andrew Kissam and his wife Michelle; sister, Jennifer Earley and her husband Michael; cousins, Theresa, Annie, Bobby and Steven; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday, at St. Joseph's Church, Hooper Ave., Toms River.
