John Francis Danges, 61, passed away at his home in Forked River, NJ, December 21st. John was born in New Brunswick, NJ, December 13, 1954 to Elizabeth "Betty" Clark Danges and Colman Francis Danges, Sr., both deceased. John grew up in Metuchen, NJ, graduating from Metuchen High School in 1973 and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV. After returning to New Jersey, John worked as a carpenter, landscape artist and, since moving to Forked River, NJ, worked as a machine technician in a fabricating shop. John always loved music, especially rock 'n roll, starting in junior high as a drummer performing in various bands at "gigs" held throughout the Metuchen area. At his beloved home on Barnegat Bay in Forked River, New Jersey, he enjoyed listening to his incredible collection of classic rock cd's. John was a quiet, soft-spoken and gentle man who turned to painting in his midlife to express his emotions and world views. His detailed, surrealistic paintings are a testament to his talent and his intelligence. John is survived by his brothers: Colman "Kelly" Francis Danges, Jr. and wife, Linda (Stroudsburg, PA), and Robert "Rob" Francis Danges and wife, Maria (Swiftwater, PA). John is survived by three nephews, Micah, Evan and Kyle and by one niece, Liza. He has one great- nephew, James. John is also survived by friends in the Forked River area, who often proved their friendship and concern for his well-being. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members only, at a later date
