Obituary of Marie Cordasco

Marie Cordasco, 88 of Toms River , passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center , Toms River . Marie was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She was affectionately known as ‘grams’ to all who knew her. Born in Orange , NJ , she lived there until moving to Toms River in 1974. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1993 and her son Vito in 1982. Surviving are: Daughter: Bridget Immersi and her husband John of Toms River Grandsons: Vito Marzarella, Michael Monto and Sean Maksel Great Grandson: Sean Peter Maksel 5 Sisters: Virginia Nicolino – East Orange Carmella DiLea – Toms River Victoria Egner – Springfield Nancy Sohn – PA Helen Schubert – East Orange Brother: Julie Romeo – East Orange Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 100 Grant Ave , Seaside Heights. Interment will follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Toms River .
