Grandpa was one of the funniest men in the world. A visit with him was an event in itself and he had a knack of making whoever he spoke to feel like they were the only person in the room. Often when driving along, my father and I would suddenly think of something Grandpa had said weeks before and we'd start laughing. Grandpa was also dynamic, accomplished and a true, "man's man", just like his beloved John Wayne. I see so much of him in my son, and my heart breaks that the two will never meet. Not only was he a fabulous grandparent and beloved parent, he was also a dedicated and loving husband to two very special women (at separate times, of course). He's making Heaven a much more fun place right now. Show 'em some magic tricks, Grandpa.
