Obituary of Anna B. Weyandt

Anna Betty (Pomeroy) Weyandt, 85, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 at the Hampton Ridge Nursing Home in Toms River. Born in Crosswicks, NJ, to the late George and Mary (Webb) Pomeroy, other than travels being a Navy spouse took her on, she was a lifelong resident of Ocean County. She was a homemaker, caring for her children and assisting with the care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever possible. Anna enjoyed watching football and baseball with the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Braves being her teams of choice; attending Blue Claws games and traveling with her family and extended family. She was an active member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church of Toms River. Anna is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Robert W. Weyandt, Sr. and her son, Thomas. She was also predeceased by her brothers, George, Donald and Robert; and her sisters, Elizabeth, Joan, Dorothy and Betty May. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Robert W. Jr. & Donna of Brick, Charles A. & Cindy, James, David & Tracy, all of Toms River, and John & Robin of MD. She will also be fondly remembered by her 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and great great grandson. She is also survived by her brother Earl & Shirley of FL,; her dearest nephew, Lewis Wilbert, Jr., ; her extended family, Tom, Cathy and Tomaso DeNoia; along with many other nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to extend many thanks to all the caregivers at Hampton Ridge Nursing Home and Community Medical Center Foundation for Hospice Services for the care and attention given to our beloved Anna. Friends are welcome to attend the memorial service on July 9th, 2016, from 9:30am-10:30am. In accordance with her wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Community Medical Center Foundation for Hospice Services, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
