Obituary of Anthony Palumbo

Anthony Palumbo, 92 of Toms River, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. Anthony worked as a press operator with Mansol Ceramics of Belleville for 25 years retiring in 1990. He served in the US Army, with the 1st Cavalry Division in the Asiatic Pacific campaigns during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was born in Lyndhurst, NJ , and lived in Belleville and Florida, moving to Toms River in 1991. Anthony was predeceased by his first wife, Angelina, his second wife Gilda Palumbo, in 2002 and his son Anthony in 2004. He is survived by two sons, Mark & his wife Marietta of Pine Beach, David & his wife Linda of Nutley; his daughter in law Marie Palumbo of Morris Plains; four Grandchildren, Elayse, Marissa, Dustin and Eric. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 am Friday at the Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery, Toms River. Leaving the Funeral Home at 10:30.
