Obituary of Shirley M. Burke

Shirley M. Burke, 81 of Toms River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 surrounded by her family. Shirley was born and raised in Jersey City, moving to Toms River in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Toms River. Shirley was predeceased by two sons, James P. Burke, Jr., and Douglas Flint and a daughter, Shirley Flint Fernandez. She is survived by her son Edward Flint; her daughter Teresa Flint-Fantozzi; 8 grandchildren Virginia Flint, Edward Flint Jr., Edward J. Flint, Sarah Flint, Stephanie Maroldi, Jane Bowen, Christina Fernandez, Michael Fernandez, and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a prayer service offered at 7:30 pm.
