Obituary of Bruno J. Alfano

Bruno J. Alfano, 72 of Lakewood, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. Bruno worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Newark for 35 years, retiring in 1998. He loved a good game of pool and was an avid bowler. He cherished his son John and had an unconditional love for his dog Zoey. Bruno was born and raised in Newark. He moved to Belleville in 1986 and then retired to Leisure Village in Lakewood in 2002. Bruno was predeceased by his loving wife Elaine (nee. DeLorenzo) in 2012. Surviving are his beloved son John Alfano and his wife Shannon; two step grandsons, Anthony Chapman, Jr., and Ryan Chapman; brother in law, John DeLorenzo, Jr. and his wife Joann; niece, Theresa Ascolese; and the late Gerardo Ascolese; Great nephew, Eduardo Ascolese; Great niece, Lauren Ascolese; Great niece, Erica Ascolese. Nephew, John DeLorenzo, III; and many other family and friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ 08724
