Obituary of Robert J. Russell

Robert Joseph Russell, Jr., 24 of Toms River, lost his battle with addiction Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He is finally at rest. His problems and addictions did not define him as a person. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He worked as an exterminator with Action Pest Control of Toms River. Robert was a free spirit who found his joy in the great outdoors. His passions were skateboarding, golf, and music. He loved the beach, fishing and anything he could do outside. Born in Toms River, he spent his life here at the shore. He is survived by his mother Nanette Gunther and her husband Eric, his father, Robert J. Russell, Sr., and his wife Monica; two sons, Kyle Russell Henderson and Cole Russell Henderson as well as the mother of his children Rachael Henderson; his sister Rebecca Allegro and her husband Vinnie; his brother, Gage Gunther; his maternal grandparents Greg and Carole Fresca; his paternal grandparents Richard Russell and his wife Mildred; Loretta Holt and her husband Lenny; his step-grandparents Virginia and Russell Bumback; Alfred and Reyna Gunther and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Friday from 5:00 pm until the service time at 8:30pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a Trust Fund set up for his two sons would be greatly appreciated.
