Obituary of John R. Malonson
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John "Jack" Malonson, 84 of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2017. He was born in Nutley and moved to Middletown 57 years ago after growing up in Highlands. Jack was no stranger to hard work. At a young age, he was digging up clams and catching bait fish to sell to local fishermen. He was a printer by trade and worked for the News Tribune and Daily Record. He always enjoyed fishing; he spent much of his time on the water in his boat after retirement. He also worked part-time at Naylor's Auto Parts in Shrewsbury and Middletown, where he enjoyed meeting and talking with the many customers. His great work ethic drove him to be a member of the Typographical Union. Jack was in fellowship at the Bethel Bible Chapel in Red Bank.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mildred Malonson; three daughters, Barbara Daggett, Carol Knott and JoAnn Malonson; and 4 grandchildren: John, Catherine, Michael and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held at the Fifth Avenue Chapel, Fifth Ave., & B Street, Belmar, NJ on Saturday from 11:00 am until the service time at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Christian Missions in Many Lands, P.O. Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ 07762-0013.
