Obituary of Henry Szuba

Henry "Hank" Szuba, Jr., age 63, of Whiting died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Hank retired from the Linden Police Department in 2002 as a sergeant after 25 years of service. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. Hank was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Whiting. His favorite pastime was fresh and salt water fishing. Living most of his life in Linden, he moved to the Bricktown area in 1983. He was predeceased by a son Justin Matthew Szuba in 1995. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Theodora (Poli) Szuba; son, Benjamin Szuba and his wife Shanna Marie of Brick, NJ; sister, Christine Karas of Kendal Park; and he was a fun loving grandpa to 8 grandchildren A memorial service will be held 10:45 am, on Monday, November 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Chapel Columbarium.
