Obituary of Margaret V. Raub

Margaret V. Raub of Berkeley Twp. went home to the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010. She passed from this world at the end of a brief stay at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. She was born Aug. 7, 1920 in E. Orange N.J. to Theodore and Lillian Palm.
Margaret leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, William Raub, her daughter Victoria Pollice and husband Gary of Shirley, MA and six grandchildren: Cynthia Walters, William Walters and his wife Melissa, Stephen Walters, Glenn Walters and his wife Lynn, Virginia Walters, and Christian Pollice and his wife Lisa. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Margaret is pre-deceased by her sister Lillian, her step-mother Winnifred, and her granddaughter Lee.
Margaret and William spent their early marriage years in East and West Orange N.J. before moving to Ortley Beach, N.J. in 1970 where they raised several of their grandchildren after the passing of their daughter Virginia Walters.
Margaret was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church community in Lavallette, N.J. She was a long-time volunteer for the Ocean County Food Bank. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and rejoiced in family gatherings and the warmth and love of the young members of the family. She always recognized and nurtured the best in everyone she met. She will be greatly missed and long-remembered by all who love her.
