Obituary of David Harris

David Harris, Jr., 79 of Toms River, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018. David was a school teacher and basketball coach at the Wall Township Intermediate School for over 30 years before retiring. He graduated from Kean University with a Master's Degree in education and served in the US Coast Guard. David was the owner of Dover lawns and landscaping, as well as Whitesville Farms garden center. He was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ and moved to Toms River over 50 years ago. David was predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy Bade Harris, his parents Louise and David Harris, Sr., and a sister in law Carol Harris. Surviving are his two sons, Scott and James Harris; daughter JoAnn Jinks and her husband David; granddaughter, Alyssa Jinks; brother Russ; and sister Lynne Harris Remington and her husband Paul Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. Toms River on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Friday at the St. Joseph's Cemetery 56-80 Cedar Grove Road, in the Risen Christ Chapel.
