William G. McCarrick, 87 of Berkeley Twp, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, at the Morristown Memorial Hospital. Mr. McCarrick was a Banker and Real Estate Appraiser for over 60 years retiring in 2006. He served in the US Army during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Toms River Post 129; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Berkeley Township Post 9503; Disabled American Veterans, Ocean County Memorial Chapter 24, and the Silver Ridge Park West Home Owners Association. He was a communicant of St. Maximilian – Kolbe Catholic Church. Born in Newark, he lived in Morris County, Florham Park, moving to Berkeley Twp in 1989. He is survived by His wife of 67 years: Helen Cuff McCarrick Sons: William McCarrick and his wife Mary of Springfield, OR Chris McCarrick and his wife Marion of Toms River, NJ Dennis McCarrick and his wife Eileen of Riverview, FL Daughters: Susan Kander and her husband John of Whippany, NJ Kathleen Smith and her husband David of Medford, OR Maryellen Wente and her husband Chuck of Succasunna, NJ Eileen Meyers and her husband Richard of Jacksonville, OR 18 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 Saturday at St. Maximilian – Kolbe Catholic Church, Mule Road, Toms River. Burial will take place Monday 10:00 at the Brig. General William Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. A memorial service will he held Saturday, 5:00pm at the Cornerstone Calvary Chapel, 6550 Highway 9, Howell. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
