Obituary of Jacqueline Publicover

Jacqueline Publicover, 89 of Forked River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Jacqueline attended St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church on Forked River. She was born in Staten Island, New York and lived there most of her life. In 1996 she moved to Toms River until moving to Forked River several years ago. She was a graduate of Saint Joseph Hill Academy in Staten Island New York in 1948. Before marrying she enjoyed her job in New York City as a telephone operator. She was married in 1960 to her husband Loren whom she was married to for 49 1/2 years. She was president of the PTA from 1976-1978. Jackie and her family vacationed at the Jersey shore for many years. She loved to garden & take day trips to Atlantic City with her husband. She was an animal lover and a great cook. She loved her granddaughters Emily & Ryleigh very much and loved to watch them dance. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Loren in 2009. She is survived by her daughter Laureen Coup and her partner Steven Bloss; two granddaughters, Emily Rose and Ryleigh Loren; her sisters, Gertrude Kane and Lavinia 'Dina' Bliss of Staten Island; she was predeceased by two brothers in law, Edward Kane and Lucien Bliss of Staten Island, NY: her special friend and care giver Patricia Fox; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. The family will meet at St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731 at 10:00 am for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ, 08753.
