Taylar and family, My prayers are with you all at this time. Your grandfather served our country in the Army. To recognize and honor his service he will receive military honors. The US flag will be presented and folded. Their is a meaning behind each fold. American Legion Post 598 has the description of each fold. I know you are proud of your Poppy. This is part of his legacy that he leaves to you. The military song “Taps” will be heard after the flag is folded. When my Dad received military honors I proudly read the history of each fold at the service before we went to the cemetery. Every time I see a flag I see the faces of the veterans I have had the privilege to meet.
