Obituary of Jeanette Collot

Jeanette Collot, 87, of Toms River, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019. Jeanette worked as a secretary at N.A.E.S. Lakehurst many years ago. She and her late husband Gilbert Sr. were founding members of the Pleasant Plains First Aid Squad. Jeanette was born in Toms River and lived here all of her life. Jeanette loved taking care of her family. She had a special place in her heart for children. It was her joy spending time enjoying and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed telling others of the old Toms River history. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Collot, Sr. in 1998. She is survived by her children, Gilbert Jr., of Toms River, Michelle Steinberger and her husband Michael of West Chester, PA, Drew Collot of Toms River, and Richard Collot and his wife Cheryl of South Carolina; two brothers, Frank Rampolla of Tampa, FL, and Nicholas 'Bud' Rampolla of Denver, PA; and 5 grandchildren, Thomas, Evan, Matthew, Nathan and Matthew. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. We request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 in her memory.
